London Surf /Film Festival, presented by Reef, is thrilled to announce the finalists for the 2014 LS/FF Shorties Contest. The shortlisted entries represent some of the very best in British and Irish surf filmmaking and will be championed on the big screen at this year’s London Surf / Film Festival. “The Shorties is an element of the festival I’m particularly passionate about,” says LS/FF Creative Director Demi Taylor. “It’s not just a showcase of homegrown filmmaking talent, it’s a showcase of just what we have here on these islands – a passionate, committed and creative surf community both in and out of the water. This year’s entries have blown me away. The cinematography and story telling have really raised the bar and captured the wider community’s attention and I know the judges had a really tough task in choosing this year’s shortlist of films.”

The Shorties Short Film Competition, presented by Reef, was established in 2011 as a platform to support and promote homegrown talents on the world stage. This year there are 10 short films selected for screening during the festival. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony on Sunday 12th October.
