Auction in aid of SAS

Waiting Painting

We were delighted to work with such a talented collection of artists at this year’s LS/FF including Chris Dorning AKA Moot. Those who came to festival will have seen his incredible free hand styling fronting the Riverside as well as featured within the gallery. His original poster ‘Litmus’ produced for the LS/FF x Oakley Surf Cinema Re-Vision Exhibition drew envious comments from both the director Taylor Steele and star Rob Machado himself.

Moot has been busy again and has produced an original oil painting ‘Waiting’ which he is auctioning off in aid of Surfers Against Sewage.

I am donating the money raised from the painting to the SAS (surfers against sewage) because I am and always have been stoked with the work they do plus I am tired of wanting to do things to help but never getting much chance to actually do anything, funny how busy you think you get. Please bid high, and get the SAS some more cash, hopefully fund a whole beach clean up…or all of them!” says Mooty

The auction on EBay runs until 10th December and all money raised will go directly to SAS.

“I’ve been drawing and painting since I can remember and surfing since 16. I don’t live on the coast so surfing has always been an activity that has been hard to pursue. However, since I was a kid I have always been drawn to surfing movies, mags, life style and everything that goes with it. I have been a skateboarder nearly all my life to. I would always doodle waves and surreal scenes in my school books and I still draw and paint surf themed images today. I find a huge sense of gratitude and satisfaction when I surf, as well as being connected with nature. It makes me face some fears head on but gives me so much joy at the same time. It’s made me find out who I am. The laughs I have had on many a surf trip are some of my most valued memories.”
