It’s proving to be a week for shapers and makers… If you’re heading to the Cornwall this weekend on Friday night friend of the festival Otter Surfboards are hosting their annual BBQ – a night of boards, beers and bangers and the chance to poke around their workshop of wooden wonders.

From 6pm James and the crew will be lighting the bbq and getting a cask of local ale in at the workshop where there’ll be a couple of partially built wooden boards on the trestles to peruse and a load of finished boards in the rack. From 8pm they’re screening Romain Juchereau’s ‘Behind The Tide‘.

“We love it when people stop by the workshop to check out what we do here, but there are a lot of people who might not visit unless they’re passing or not feel like just “having a look” is a good enough reason to visit us,” says James Otter. “The open workshop evening is a chance for anybody to come up and sate their curiosity.  We’re going to do a normal day of work and then light the bbq and open a few beers, and everybody’s welcome to join us. Hot dogs and beer will be available, otherwise please feel free to BYO!”
